Easy 10 Minute Peach Cobbler

I love peach season! Fresh peaches are one of those fruits that don’t work as well when they’re not in season. We usually just eat them when they are (a lot.) Delicious peach cobbler is another great way to utilize this summer produce.

Easy Peach Cobbler Recipe
Peach season has inspired new recipes in our house, including this ten-minute Peach Cobbler! It works with fresh (but not canned) peaches for a delicious flavor. Making a serving is quick and easy, too. It’s healthier, grain-free, and naturally sweet.

I love that this fresh peach cobbler is so buttery and not too sweet like some recipes. We served it with homemade whipped cream, but you can also add a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Try topping it with some walnuts or pecans for extra crunch. It may be the best peach cobbler I’ve ever had!

WARNING: This is different from most local southern or old-fashioned peach cobbler recipes. These use ingredients like brown sugar and all-purpose flour to make a golden cobbler topping. In my version, you don’t even have to break out the baking sheet! It has all the flavors in a simplified version.

Other Filling Options
This recipe is for fresh peaches only (not for canned peaches). You may be able to thaw and drain the peach juice from frozen peaches, but I haven’t tried that yet.

If peaches are not in season, you can make this recipe with other fruits. Raspberries, blackberries and blueberries all work well too. Or just make this berry crumble recipe. You can also use soft fruits like pears. Apples are a little too hard, but if you want apple cobbler, try this recipe.

Random note about the cream: I made homemade whipped cream with heavy cream and a little stevia. I used a chopping blade on my immersion blender – the same blade that grinds coffee. I didn’t wash the coffee out first (because I’m lazy) and it was amazing! I highly recommend adding a pinch of ground coffee to homemade whipped cream, though probably not on the peaches ……

  • 6 ripe peaches (peeled and sliced)
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter (or coconut oil)
  • ½ cup almond flour
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1/8 teaspoon powdered allspice
  • Honey (to taste, or stevia)
  • Whipping cream
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions.
In a skillet on the stove, melt butter or coconut oil.
Add the chopped peaches to the melted butter and cook for about 5 minutes, until they begin to soften.
Sprinkle the peaches with cinnamon, cloves and five-spice powder.
Stir in the ground almonds, honey and vanilla extract to coat the peach filling. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes.
Whipped Cream
For whipped cream, blend heavy cream, vanilla extract and honey in a blender or immersion blender until creamy. Avoid over-blending.
Serve peach dessert while still warm, topped with whipped cream if desired.

Notes.
If making a larger or smaller batch, use 1 tablespoon of butter or coconut oil and 1-2 tablespoons of almond flour per peach.
